Jack and Frances

We are musical artists living in San Miguel de Allende, in the central highlands of Mexico.

We play fingerstyle guitar (some people call us "classical" guitarists) on two nylon string guitars, performing exclusively our own arrangements of Mexican songs, tangos, rumba flamenco, pop songs, and our originals.

Jack and Frances at the Sierra Nevada Hotel

In the picture at left, we're playing at the Sierra Nevada Hotel's "Restaurante del Parque" on a Saturday afternoon. As you can see, we play acoustically, without microphones, pickups, or amplifiers, for most of our performances. (We do have a sound system for larger events.)

We play for audiences of tourists from all over the world. For the Mexican nationals, we do entire sets of popular and traditional Mexican songs such as

and so on. When American and Canadian tourists come in, we may play

all played in our own unique arrangements — which we created ourselves and which no one else has ever played. We also have a set of our own original music: tangos, rumba flamenco, and other pieces which are not categorizable and which you will just have to come and listen to.
